About the challenge

A one-day, in-person hackathon in San Francisco to build personal agents: AI that takes things off your plate and acts on your behalf in everyday life.

AI can finally start taking charge of parts of our lives. Not just answering questions, but actually handling things: the calls, the forms, the scheduling, the follow-ups. The question for this hackathon: what can we build now that this is possible?

Some questions worth exploring:

  1. What would you trust an agent to own end to end, and what still needs your sign-off?
  2. If the agent is acting on behalf of a person, how does the person consent to what it does?
  3. How do we ensure agents only have the permissions they need, and not more?
  4. How does an agent detect when it's out of its depth and hand things back to you?
  5. How does an agent access our personal context, and how should people manage that?

We're biased toward projects that are useful, in production, and that we can demo.
